Language of didactics Our courses are in Italian. At the moment our University does not provide Italian language courses. The Office informs incoming students about Italian language courses offered by private Centres in Venice. Being IUAV a member of the VIU Venice International University,www.univiu.org/: at VIU Erasmus students could also attend Italian language course + another VIU course without charge.

WHAT STUDENTS MUST ABSOLUTELY KNOW It is better to arrive one week before the beginning of semester in order every student may have enough time to know the University and the town and enrol to the courses. At their arrival Erasmus and visiting students must enrol at Student Mobility Office - Mobilità Internazionale Docenti e Studenti Studenti – Campo della Lana, 601 – Venezia. Lectures of “industrial design” and “fashion design” are held in Treviso. Treviso is about 20 km far from Venice, it has good transport connection (bus and train) to Venice, too. IUAV gives to incoming student a login and a password for the computer services. As for lodging, IUAV has no campus. Most foreign students find private rooms with advertisements, that is why it is better to arrive in advance. The regional service ESU (www.esuvenezia.it) offers few rooms; students must apply by e-mail to benefici@esuvenezia.it
